Perkins Braille Bloom™

From braille to the digital world, instantly, together.

For generations, the Perkins Brailler has been a trusted tool for reading and writing braille, supporting independence, learning, and communication. The Perkins Braille Bloom™ builds on that legacy, bringing braille into today's connected world without changing the experience users rely on.

With Bloom, what is written on a Perkins Brailler is instantly translated into text on a computer, tablet, or smartphone. A student can braille a sentence and their teacher can read it at the same time. A parent can follow along as their child learns. A professional can write, email, and communicate—all from the familiarity of their brailler.

It's a simple idea with a powerful impact: removing the gap between braille users and sighted readers.

Designed as the only official companion to the Perkins Brailler, Bloom transforms the brailler into a plug-and-play keyboard for digital devices. There are no complicated setups or new systems to learn—just a seamless connection that works across everyday tools like email, documents, and messaging platforms.

In classrooms, it opens the door to real-time collaboration and hybrid learning. At home, it brings families into the learning process. In the workplace, it supports communication and productivity using a trusted braille device.

The Perkins Braille Bloom doesn't replace braille—it strengthens it. By connecting tactile writing with digital access, it helps ensure braille remains a powerful, relevant tool for learning, working, and staying connected in a modern world.
